To empower, nourish, and protect the women and children from London to the Caribbean through holistic support. Sisterhood of Strength (SOS) bridges the gap between crisis and stability by providing essential baby supplies, dignified clothing, and financial relief. Led by a certified Domestic Violence Survivor Advocate, we transform lived experience into professional intervention—creating a safe space where every woman is heard, every child is cared for, and every family has the tools to rebuild with dignity.

This inspiring message of hope, healing, and resilience reminds survivors that their past does not define their future. Carletta shares her powerful journey and the mission of Sisterhood of Strength, encouraging survivors of domestic violence to find their voice, seek support, and embrace a path toward safety, recovery, renewed purpose, and personal empowerment.

We provide essential, high-quality items for newborns, infants, and children up to age 12. Every item is donated from the UK, sorted with care, and shipped directly to families in need across Jamaica and Trinidad.
Newborn & Infant Essentials: Diapers, onesies, receiving blankets, sleepsuits, hats, socks, mittens, and baby toiletries.
Maternity Supplies: Hospital-ready kits including nightgowns, maternity pads, toiletries, and nursing essentials required by public health facilities.
Children’s Clothing: Gently used and new clothing, school uniforms, shoes, and outerwear for growing children and siblings.
The "Hospital Ready" Baby Bundle: Each bundle is curated to meet the exact requirements of Jamaican public hospitals, ensuring no mother arrives unprepared or without dignity.

Financial hardship is one of the biggest causes of stress during childbirth. For qualifying mothers, we provide a one-time grant of **$5,000 Jamaican Dollars (£24 GBP) included inside every full bundle.
What this grant covers:
Safe private transport home from the hospital (no crowded public buses with a newborn).
Emergency medications or supplements if the hospital pharmacy is out of stock.
Nutritional support for the mother during recovery.
In Jamaica, the National Minimum Wage is $16,000 JMD (£77) per week. This grant alone represents nearly 1/3 of a mother’s weekly income—a vital lifeline at the most vulnerable time.
Eligibility: Available to single mothers or women in financial distress, vetted through our local outreach teams.
"I walked into Sisterhood of Strength feeling broken and uncertain about my future. What I found was a community of women who uplifted me, believed in me, and helped me rediscover my strength. Today, I am financially independent, confident, and focused on building the life I deserve."
"For the first time in years, I felt safe enough to be myself. The support, encouragement, and resources I received through Sisterhood of Strength gave me the courage to heal, set goals, and create a new beginning for myself and my children."
"Sisterhood of Strength helped me transform my pain into purpose. The mentorship, friendships, and personal development opportunities showed me that my story was not over—it was just beginning. I am stronger today because of the women who walked beside me.”
"The greatest gift Sisterhood of Strength gave me was hope. Every meeting, workshop, and conversation reminded me that I was not alone. The sisterhood helped me see my value, believe in my potential, and move forward with purpose."
"I never imagined I could regain my confidence after everything I had been through. Through Sisterhood of Strength, I learned to trust myself again, advocate for myself, and pursue opportunities I once thought were out of reach."
"At Sisterhood of Strength, women discover more than support—they discover resilience, empowerment, healing, and a community committed to helping them thrive. Together, we are building stronger women, stronger families, and stronger communities."

In Jamaica, 80% of children are born to single mothers, many of whom are earning the minimum wage of approximately $16,000 JMD (£77) weekly. The cost of having a baby—supplies, transport, and medication—can wipe out an entire month’s income.

We accept donations of new and good-quality items in the UK. Please follow our packing checklist to ensure we send exactly what is needed.

Total Value: $33,100 JMD (£159 GBP). Equivalent to over 2 weeks of minimum wage income.
